Marina LourençoFounder and Editor-in-chief
Marina lives in Dublin, Ireland, where she works with an international NGO supporting human rights defenders at risk across the world. She holds a law degree from the University of Uberaba, Brazil, a post graduate diploma in Human Rights from the University of Coimbra, Portugal and is currently in the final stages of her master’s studies in International Human Rights Law at Åbo Akademi University, in Finland. She is passionate about human rights in general, but especially interested in refugee law and forced migration, statelessness, and multidisciplinary approaches to human rights. She loves photography, dogs, travelling and Turkey.
Barbara KituiEditor
Barbara is a Ugandan lawyer and holds a LLM in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa from the University of Pretoria, in South Africa, a post graduate diploma in Legal Practise from the Law Development Centre, and Bachelor of Laws Degree from Makerere University, Uganda. Currently, she works with the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative, Uganda as the Legal Officer of the Paralegal Advisory Services programme which offers basic legal assistance to persons in conflict with the law. She also worked as a Legal Associate with Kiyimba-Kisaka & Company Advocates.
Stephen PhillipsAssociate Editor
Stephen is currently a student in the Master's Programme in International Human Rights Law at Åbo Akademi University, in Finland. He is originally from Australia, where he trained and worked as a social worker prior to moving to Finland. He is currently working on his master's thesis, which is focussed on State responses to forced migration.
Iksandi LojayaWeb Designer
Iksandi is a programmer, web designer and wannabe front-end web developer from Indonesia. He is currently a student of Computational Science at the Telkom Institute of Technology in Bandung. He enjoys reading books, Japanese culture and stuff.
